Justice for Colombia and Unite, the largest trade union in Britain, are holding a joint fringe meeting on the situation in Colombia at the Labour Party North West annual conference in Southport on Saturday 3rd November.

Speakers at the event include Maire Daley, a member of the JFC Executive as well as of the Executive of the University and College Union, and Krupa Raithatha of the shop workers trade union USDAW. The meeting is being chaired by Dave McCall, the North West Regional Secretary of the Transport and General Workers Union and Chair of Justice for Colombia North. All three speakers have visited Colombia.

The meeting is at 1pm on Saturday in the Promenade Suite of the Floral Hall in Southport and refreshments will be served. A short film about the situation faced by trade unionists in Colombia will also be shown.

Justice for Colombia urges all delegates at the conference to try and attend to get an update on the current situation in Colombia and find out more about what individual Labour Party members can do to help.
