A community organisation based in Bolívar, northern Colombia, has denounced paramilitary activity in the area, particularly around intimidation of transport workers and a former FARC member currently reintegrating into civil society.

According to the Association of Agricultural Workers and Miners of Guamocó, Aheramigua, paramilitaries warned taxi drivers that anyone transporting 'ex guerrilla' Edgar Giménez would be killed.

The organisation has demanded that the government ensure security for civilians populations and dismantle paramilitary groups that continue to threaten them.
