Various organisations (48 at the current time), in both the UK and Republic of Ireland, are affiliated to Justice for Colombia on a national level. These bodies assist us with funding and provide practical and political support for our work. Current affiliates include:
The Trades Union Congress (TUC) represents nearly seven million working people from all walks of life. TUC leader Brendan Barber is the President of Justice for Colombia.
Unite is one of the largest trade unions in Europe representing around two million people in numerous different sectors of the economy in both the UK and Ireland.
UNISON represents 1.3 million British workers in the public sector in the UK and Ireland.
The GMB is a general union with 600,000 members in the UK and Ireland.
The NASUWT represents approximately 265,000 British teachers in the UK and Ireland.
Prospect represents 122,000 professionals including engineers, scientists, managers and specialists in areas such as agriculture, defence, energy and the environment in both the UK and Ireland.
The University and College Union (UCU) represents more than 120,000 academics, lecturers, researchers, librarians and others working in the further and higher education sectors in the UK and Ireland.
Community represents nearly 70,000 members in several industries including steel and metals, textiles, betting shops and social care.
The Musicians Union represents over 30,000 musicians working in all sectors of the music business in the UK and Ireland.

ASLEF represents 18,000 train drivers all over the UK.

Unity represents around 9,000 workers in the ceramics industry all over the UK.

UCAC is a trade union representing nearly 4,000 teachers in Wales.
