About Justice for ColombiaJustice for Colombia (JFC) is a British NGO that campaigns for human rights, workers' rights and the search for peace with social justice in Colombia. Established in 2002 by a group of British trade unionists, JFC was created in response to the appalling human rights crisis in Colombia - and particularly the abuses committed against trade unionists. In that year alone, 184 trade unionists were assassinated and Colombia remains the most dangerous place in the world to be a trade unionist.
We work closely with British and Colombian organisations and our campaigning activities are supported by the Trades Union Congress (TUC), which represents over six million British workers. As well as campaigning activities JFC runs projects on the ground in Colombia assisting trade unions, human rights organisations and others. The four key aims of Justice for Colombia are:
